Whenever one shares an alternate explanation (creationism) with scientific evidence that is normally associated with evolution you are going to ruffle feathers from those who favor the current geological time tables of the millions of years. Combined with the idea that a doglike creature evolved into a human.
The Jackson Spark Plug
Case in point. We received what is being called the "Jackson Artifact" this week.
It came from a California beach. It's a Champion spark plug embedded in sand with little stones fused together into what is called a conglomerate.
The question I asked publicly was simply, "Can stone be formed in a few years and not millions?" and "Is it possible that there was a worldwide flood and that the fossils and sedimentary rock like sandstone, were laid down and formed quickly."
That's all it took and then in the comments section blew up. Criticism came calling me or anyone who would dare to speak such things as stupid.
Fast Formation of Diamonds
Apparently when conditions are right, diamonds can be manufactured in the lab quickly and wood can turn into coal in 6-9 months. So perhaps this idea is not so dumb :)
